Our family has transitioned the farm from a tobacco and small grains operation into one of the region’s top Angus seedstock operations. Locust Level Farm strives to breed the complete package for our black Angus cattle. We do this by selecting proven sires to use in our AI and embryo transfer programs. Our family’s two veterinarians help Locust Level Farm accomplish this by combining state-of-the-art DNA analysis with thorough health evaluations of our animals. This unique partnership has allowed Locust Level Farm to produce traits and bloodlines that are in high demand by both commercial cattlemen and purebred Angus breeders. Locust Level Females have been purchased by leading herds across the country, and eight bulls to date have been sold or leased to major US AI studs.
Raising cattle is our way of life, and we’ve spent years improving our herd through genetic makeup. There are two ways you can purchase our cattle to improve the genetics of your herd — through our annual fall sale and private treaty sales. Our fall sale is our biggest event of the year, selling both bulls and females to add to your herd. You can also contact us throughout the year to purchase cattle through private treaty sales.
